The Revenue Recovery Checklist

10 Places to Find Money in Your Business Before You Go Find More Leads

You may not need more traffic, more followers, more ads, or more people.

You may already have revenue sitting inside your business.

This checklist will help you find it.

Work through each section, estimate the potential revenue attached to the opportunity, and choose the ONE action you will take first.

Before You Go Find More Leads

More people isn't always the answer.

Most business owners automatically assume the answer to more sales is more people.

More Leads
More Traffic
More Followers
More Visibility

But that is not always the problem.

Sometimes the money is already sitting inside the business and getting lost somewhere between interest and revenue.

Maybe the follow-up never happened. Maybe the quote went cold. Maybe a past customer was never invited back. Maybe there is no next offer. Maybe people are showing interest but the buying process is too damn hard.

This checklist will help you look at 10 places where revenue may already be sitting inside your business.

And yes, this works whether you run an online business, a brick-and-mortar, a service business, a consulting company, a salon, a med spa, an agency, a gym, or something completely different.

Don't try to fix all 10.

Your job is to find the one place with the biggest opportunity and start there.

The Checklist • Part One

Find the money already sitting there.

01

Old Leads

Who showed interest but never bought, booked, signed, or came back?

Action: Identify 5–10 people you could reconnect with this week.
02

Open Proposals, Quotes + Estimates

Who asked for pricing or received a proposal but never made a decision?

Ask yourself: Did I actually follow up, or did I send the information and hope?
03

Follow-Up Gaps

Who said "Send me the details," "Circle back next month," "I need to think about it," or "I'll talk to my partner"... and then disappeared?

Action: Restart the conversations that never actually ended.
04

Past Customers

Who already knows, likes, and trusts your business? These are often the easiest people to sell to again because the relationship already exists.

Action: Make a list of past customers worth reconnecting with.
05

Upsell Opportunities

What else could your current customers genuinely benefit from?

This is not about selling people shit they do not need. What is the natural next problem I can help solve?

The Checklist • Part Two

Keep looking inside the business.

06

Renewals + Repeat Business

Who could:

Do not wait until the relationship is over to start talking about what comes next. Look 30–60 days ahead and identify upcoming opportunities.
07

Referrals

Your happiest customers already know people who need what you do. Have you actually asked?

Instead of "Let me know if you know anyone," try: "Who do you know that is dealing with the same problem you had when you came to me?"
08

Inactive Customers

Who used to buy, book, visit, order, or work with you consistently... and stopped? Do you know why?

Sometimes revenue recovery is not finding someone new. It is reminding someone who already loved you why they came in the first place.
09

Unconverted Attention

Where are people showing interest but not taking the next step?

Ask: What is the next step I am asking them to take, and is it obvious? Attention is great. Attention without a next step does not create revenue.
10

The Broken Step

Where do people consistently fall out of your buying process?

Do not pour more leads into a process that is already losing the ones you have.

You do not need to fix all 10 things. In fact, please do not. Look back through your checklist and identify the opportunity that feels closest to revenue right now.

One Final Question

Do you really need more leads... or do you need to do a better job converting the opportunities already inside your business?

Find the money. Fix the gap. Then go get more.
